HuskyADAPT Autumn Kickoff Meeting

Thanks to those that attended our HuskyADAPT Autumn Kickoff Meeting this week! Did you miss the meeting? See below for ways to get involved! Note that all ways to get involved are open to UW students of all majors and levels of experience.1) Toy Adaptation -- attend a toy adaptation event, where we adapt toys for users with diverse abilities. This is a two-hour, one-time commitment (but we would love to have you come back many times!) Signup is always in the HuskyADAPT newsletters.2) Design -- join a design team, where we work with community needs experts to design solutions to accessibility problems! This is a 5 hour/week commitment for either one quarter or one year (depending on the design team.) You can also attend our Design Brainstorming Session on Tuesday, October 8th.3) Community Engagement -- attend a community engagement event, where we work to meet our mission with members of our community. We host events with K-12 students, clinicians, teachers, engineers, and more to spread the word about our mission, adapt toys, solve design challenges, and more. These are typically 2 to 5-hour, one-time commitments (but we would love to have you come back many times!) Signup for these events is always in the HuskyADAPT newsletters.
